We’re excited to kick off our “Meet the Team” series by introducing one of our co-founders, Guilherme de Rosso — strategist, big-picture thinker, and co-creator of our mission to make healthcare more proactive, continuous, and human. In the picture, you’ll see him in his headphones walking around Edinburgh. Probably not a picture that he’s so proud of. Sorry G
Tell us a bit about yourself:
“I’ve worked across different sectors — from Food&Drink and economic development to entrepreneurship and strategy — in both Brazil and the UK. It’s a diverse background that I’ll share more about soon, but what ties it all together is my drive to solve meaningful problems. Ikarians is a natural next step, combining personal purpose with everything I’ve learned so far.”
How did the idea for Ikarians come about?
“It started with my own health journey. I was patient zero — my brother, who’s a doctor, helped me improve my long-term health with a framework he developed himself. That became the foundation of Ikarians. Later, we realised we could use wearable data and AI to bring this proactive, personalised care model to more people — and to the professionals who support them.”
What’s your vision for the future of health?
“Smarter care that feels more human. I want to help shift the system from treating disease to promoting health — where people are supported continuously, and where tech empowers doctors instead of replacing them. “Healthcare should be measured by outcomes, not appointments. That’s the future we’re building.”
